The Raw Power Method

Video coming soon…. I’m just coping with camera fright🤭

I’ve spent most of my life immersed in performance, resilience, recovery, and understanding what helps people operate at their best, physically and mentally.

Talk to HR business leaders on health and wellbeing

Alongside runningRaw Power Sports Therapy, I also continue to work in senior HR, operational leadership and business advisory roles through my advisory business, SiEffect, supporting organisations and leadership teams through complex operational and people challenges.

That broader experience has given me a unique perspective on stress, recovery, pressure, resilience and human performance, not just in sport, but in everyday life.

Before all of this, I served in a Commando-trained military unit where physical and mental resilience were simply part of daily life. Since then, movement, sport, recovery and performance have remained central to who I am.

Over the years I’ve competed in endurance events, triathlon, marathons and ultra-distance, alongside years of competitive racket sports including squash, tennis and badminton. I’ve trained and operated in demanding mountain, winter, desert and jungle environments. I’ve competed in ski-biathlon and cross-country skiing; and that’s just off the top of my head.

Now in my 50s, I still train hard, compete, and continue to challenge myself physically because I believe strength, movement and resilience are lifelong pursuits and not something that ends with age.

My background also includes working as a personal trainer and becoming the UK’s first distributor and educator for the US performance and recovery brand Trigger Point Technologies. Long before foam rolling became mainstream, I was teaching recovery, movement and self-management techniques across Ironman and triathlon events throughout the UK and parts of Europe, alongside educating gyms, rehabilitation providers and sporting organisations.

Today, The Raw Power Method combines hands-on therapy, movement, recovery and strength principles using the knowledge and experience I’ve built across decades of sport, coaching, rehabilitation and performance.

That may include approaches such as:

  • Sports Massage

  • Trigger Point Therapy

  • Medical Acupuncture

  • Mobility & Stretching

  • Osteopathic & Chiropractic-based Techniques

  • Strength & Conditioning Principles

  • Overcoming Mental Blockers

The aim is simple:

To help you move better, recover properly, stay active - live stronger, age smarter.
