Dry Needling - Western Medical Acupuncture in Ascot

Targeted treatment for muscular tension, discomfort and restricted movement

A precise, evidence-informed treatment used to target muscular tension and trigger points, reduce discomfort and help restore movement.

Used on its own or alongside hands-on therapy as part of a treatment approach built around you.

Sports therapy that's built around you

No two bodies, activities or reasons for treatment are the same.

A session at Raw Power starts with understanding what is going on, how you move, what you do and what you want to get back to or improve.

Dry needling may form part of your treatment where appropriate and can be combined with other hands-on techniques, movement assessment and practical advice to help address muscular tension, restricted movement and discomfort.

Assess → understand what's going on
Treat → use the right techniques for you
Progress → help you move, recover and perform better

Can dry needling help me?

You don't need to know whether dry needling is the right treatment before you book. Your session starts with understanding what you're experiencing and how it's affecting your movement, training or everyday activity.

Where appropriate, dry needling can be used to target areas of muscular tension and sensitivity as part of your wider treatment.

Dry needling may be useful if you:

  • Feel persistent muscular tightness or tension

  • Have localised areas of muscular sensitivity

  • Feel restricted or uncomfortable when moving

  • Have muscular tension following training or physical activity

  • Find that tightness keeps returning despite stretching or mobility work

  • Want to support recovery alongside your training

  • Have an area that feels difficult to address through hands-on treatment alone

It Starts With You — Not the Treatment

Your session starts with understanding what you're experiencing, how you move, what you're doing and what you want to achieve.

From there, I'll use the approach that's right for you. Dry needling isn't automatically part of a session and isn't something everyone needs. Where appropriate, it can be used on its own or alongside sports massage, other hands-on techniques, movement work and practical advice.

Because the goal isn't simply to use a needle. It's to help you feel and move better when you leave.
